Dale

Dale has been a wonderful member of our congregation for the last few years. He is a constant encouragement and a hard worker. He is also a valued member of our community- he has lived in the canyon for over 40 years. Dale will be missed dearly, as he is moving to PA to be closer to his family. Even if we don't get to visit with him again in this life, we look forward to a great reunion with him someday in Heaven. When we ask him, "How are you, Dale?" He'll answer, "If I was any better, I couldn't stand it!"

Fall Party- October 24

Last night was our annual Fall Party. Members of the congregation, as well as many people from the community, enjoyed visiting together. We had fun dressing up, eating chili and plenty of dessert, and spending time together.

Youth Get Together, 9-28-08

A youth group from Longmont came to visit with our youth last Sunday. It was a fun night of games, food, fellowship, and worship.

Kamp Koinonia

Several of our members just returned from Kamp Koinonia. Caitlin and Annie went as campers first week, and Randi went as a counselor. Karl, Randi, Brynn, and Heather went as campers third week while Marty, Cindy, and Sarah went as counselors. Marty was also able to teach Bible class.
Both weeks were filled with fellowship (the meaning of "koinonia"), intense Bible study, beautiful and edifying singing, and good Godly fun. Those who attended came home refreshed. Life long friends were made and souls were strengthened.

An Unexpected Visitor

This morning we had a very unexpected visitor. This little doe decided to use the trees to the east of our building as a place to rest. It's nice to be in Bellvue, where we can see God's Creation all around us, sometimes in unexpected ways.

UPDATE: This beautiful deer was seen later that day nursing her two new babies. No pictures, because we didn't want to scare them. But it was truly an awesome thing to see!

Dean's Rose

At Pleasant Valley, every time we meet, we have the joy of seeing this amazing creation of God- Dean's Rose. We miss Dean, but this rose (planted here by his wife, children, and grandchildren) reminds us of him every time we see it. Just as this rose is strong and beautiful (some say unbelievably so), Dean has a strong and beautiful soul. We can't wait to see him again in Heaven someday. Until then, we will enjoy the site of this rose in his memory.

What a fantastic fellowship day we had! There was a total of 65 people- church members and community members- throughout the day. The day started at about 9 am for set up, and the last group of people headed home after 9 pm!

Children from the community, as well as our own kids, enjoyed hunting for the candy and eggs!

They dug through their buckets to check out the loot!

Ron, Shari, and Tommy brought their bunnies for everyone to hold! Several of these very cute bunnies found homes!

God is so good! We give thanks to Him for the paying off of the land. We now have more land that we can use as a tool to grow. We hope to have a new building on our land within a few years!
